Hello,

Quick back story. I have studied as a pilot in flight school. Once I got my Private pilot license, I moved to a 2-year college aviation program and graduated. When I was graduating Aviation industry got hit hard by covid and there was no job so I left for my home country. and it has been more than 180 so I cant apply for PGWP.

So I want to go back to Canada for good. I am planning to study as a flight instructor. What are the options back and is it possible to bring my GF along with me? or should I apply for a work permit with skill type B or apply for a student permit?

question 2. When I apply for PGWP after completing the instructor rating (within a year probably) Is my college time count towards PGWP for a 3-year duration?
question 3. If I marry my GF now can I apply for a student permit and bring her with me this winter? and if its not possible what would be the best option to go Canada with my GF?

Any advice is appreciated,

Thanks.

I can answer that question only. If you marry her in your country and you went to Cannada for studies and after you get your job, you can call your spouse only just have to fill forms and they will see whether your wife is eligible for the VISA or not. But the chance is more.

Willy 262, there are a couple of points relevant to your case. IRCC has had a special program offering open work permits to PGWP - even those whose status has expired and who are out of the country. Go here for more information:

As for bringing your partner with you to Canada, you might consider spousal sponsorship. It's best to marry but there are other options as well. check out our tutorial on this:

for everyone wants to move to canada must know these points
Winter: Decidedly, we do not get used to it. It also increases living costs, especially for low-income families: Clothes, shoes, winter tires, electricity or gas bills…
Real estate prices in cities like Toronto or Vancouver, with a real estate market artificially overheated by foreign investment (or prices no longer adhere to the economic reality of the country).
Taxes: The Canadian tax system is not fair for the families of employees located in the high income brackets; A family with 3 children and a single income will pay almost the same taxes as a single person, the deductions being largely symbolic.
A limited job market: Canada remains a rich but modest economy compared to the US, or countries like France or Great Britain. This translates to fewer opportunities, especially for skilled trades.
The perfectible medical system: Although free and accessible, appointments with a specialist can take 12 months.
