Applying for UK Citizenship

I am a Canadian Citizen. My paternal grandfather was British. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1931. My father has dual Canadian and British citizenship. The remainder of my family are all only Canadian citizens. Would I qualify for British citizenship?

Was your father born in Canada? Because if he was, you probably don't. It doesn't transmit more than one generation.

Most British naturalisation applications take between 3-4 months to be processed. Straight forward applications can be decided within 2 months, and more complex can take up to 6 months. Processing times will also vary depending on the Home Office's caseload.
