    CONFUSED

Hi, They are asking for these documents because they believe the information you submitted is not enough to prove your relationship. It sounds like they are asking for proof of common law status, but you say you are married. Did you submit the marriage certificate? What other kinds of evidence...

Clarification on leaving CA while PR process is pending

Hi, Let me try to answer your questions: So, first off, processing time is officially down to 1 year, supposedly. I am not sure if the government is meeting that standard, but that's the goal. Generally, anyone sponsored inland can stay in the country while the application is in process and...

Spouse, common in law or conjugal?

Spousal Sponsorship: if you are legally married (this is the option you should probably pursue) Common-law sponsorship: only if you have been living together common-law for at least 12 months and can prove it Conjugal sponsorship: only if you have been prevented from marrying or living together...

    EXTENDING STUDENT VISA AND WORKING

As far as I know the option would be to use your job offer to get an LMIA and get a work permit. And then, when you're ready to go back to school, switch back to a study permit. There may be another option, but I don't know myself if there is.

    EXTENDING STUDENT VISA AND WORKING

To the best of my knowledge you cannot extend your "summer" and work longer on a study permit. You'd have to switch to a work permit. However, you can work full time until you are expected to resume your studies and then work part time. That's one option.

Exit visa and entry to Canada

Hi, Once the application is approved, he will become a permanent resident, and does not need a visitor visa to travel to Canada. (He would need an exit visa from Cuba, still, however.) If you want him to come to Canada before it is approved, he will need a visitor visa. In our experience these...

It doesn't appear that the Kenyan Embassy or High Commission in Islamabad has a webpage, but here is a page from the Kenyan Embassy in Brussels about birth certificates: http://www.kenyabrussels.com/index.php?menu=4&leftmenu=101&page=113

I don't know that their passports would help. I think the thing to prove is that you are British. Because of the different parent, they could be British for other reasons.

It might work if you can show the entry stamp from Pakistan as well.

An entry record showing that they entered Pakistan on British passports might work, if they have a record of that.

You'll need his passport, your parents' marriage certificate, your birth certificate naming him as your father...but it may still not be enough. They may believe he became Kenyan. Proving that part is tough. But whether or not you have to prove that, I don't know. You can always apply with the...

The British nationals in Kenya in 1963 would have likely become Kenyan. Are you sure that didn't happen with your family? If it didn't, you'll have to not only find your parents' proofs of British nationality, but you will have to prove that they didn't become Kenyan. It's a tall order. Sorry...

    QUERY

Probably not. You can go through the various semi-skilled PNP programs, but I have a hard time imagining that any province is in dire need of stock boys. Sorry for the bad news.

EXTENSION OF WORK PERMIT IN IMPLIED STATUS

How are you on implied status? Is it implied status because you are extending your status as a visitor? I'm a little confused by this situation, but if you have a valid LMIA with your job offer, you can apply for a work permit.

    Almost there

Yes, it's one of the final stages. I do not know myself whether or not it's the penultimate. The request for passports will indicate that it's over. Having paid the fee ahead of time might speed it up, I don't know. What else do you want to know about this? The interview doesn't always...

Anything that the principal applicant needs to fill out you need to fill out, anything that the other applicants have to fill out all of you need to complete. Each form should say. If there is a guide on the SINP website, you should use that. There should also be a guide somewhere that you can...

I want to live with my family in canada

Hi Eman, If you are looking to come here to study, you will need to figure out which program you want and then which schools offer it. If you are focusing on Toronto, U of T is going to be the only option of the universities. You should contact the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons...

My girlfriend(American) and her time in Canada

You need to sign a declaration in front of a notary and commissioner of oaths, and you need to provide proof that you both live permanently at the same address. Well, she's not a permanent resident technically, but she'd be living in Canada as if she was a permanent resident. If she doesn't...

My girlfriend(American) and her time in Canada

The best way to solve that problem is to sponsor her for permanent residence. But you either have to be married, or common-law for at least 1 year. Those are the only options.

Sponsoring to live in Canada please help

Let me try to answer your questions: [list type=decimal] Technically, this is possible, but you have to prove the intent to move to Canada, which is hard. We don't recommend it. A visa is only good enough to get you to Canada. Once you get here, the border officer decides to let you in for a...
