    Canadian Citizenship Day Credits

Hi, I actually have no idea. My guess is no, they don't, because of the text you quoted. But I suggest speaking to an RCIC or a lawyer to confirm. (Or you could call IRCC at 1-888-242-2100 to see if they could answer your question.)

    VISITOR VISA (Canada)

So the letter of invitation is pretty key, but also important are "ties" to Uzbekistan, for example: proof of home ownership (or a lease), proof of an employment contract, that type of thing. Basically, your friend is trying to prove that they will return to Uzbekistan after the trip.

Should I apply for federal express entry before moving from Saskatchewan to Quebec (with a job offer)?

Hi, I am just the webmaster so I don't know if I can answer your questions. Are you saying that you believe you cannot apply for federal immigration with a job offer from a Quebec employer? Is that correct? If that is what you are saying, I'm actually not sure if that's the law. Quebec has...

Pr card expired 726 days in Canada

Yes, that's the likely reason now. Unfortunately they could come up with other reasons in the future, such as a belief that your parents would attempt to get sponsored after entering as visitors. But that's not something we can know at this time.

Pr card expired 726 days in Canada

Okay, so what you read about is entering through the border with the US using their Records of Landing (or COPRs, depending upon when they landed). That's possible: they would have to fly to the US and then drive into Canada. (They could not take a bus, they could not take a train.) However...

Pr card expired 726 days in Canada

Yes, they should renounce their residency and apply for visitor visas or super visas. You could also try to sponsor them for permanent residence after they renounce, though that is a very competitive process.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot - Education Requirements

Only one stream of the pilot requires that, to the best of my knowledge: the Atlantic International Graduate Program https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/atlantic-immigration-pilot/how-to-immigrate/eligibility.html

Looking for Immigration Advice on Behalf of a Friend

Hi, He needs to work in a skilled occupation (for example: noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=2&val1=3219&ver=16) for at least one year to qualify for CEC. Some provinces will have programs open to people working in semi-skilled occupations so if "dietary aide" qualifies as "semi...

    Spouse visa

Let me try to answer your questions: It is not the job of the officer reviewing your spousal sponsorship application to investigate your PR status. But, if I were you, I'd wait until I have met the residence requirement (2 years out of the last 5) before applying just to be safe. It's not...

    Sponsorship

To my knowledge, the only way to sponsor a sibling is through a business, and this option is only available in (I believe) two provinces, neither of which are Ontario. (There is one exception to the rule about no siblings that does not apply to you but I'm not even sure it's possible any more...

Flagpoling to activate a new work permit even with my expired work visa

Not for sure. I believe plenty have people have flagpoled when their current work permit is valid in order to switch jobs, based upon comments on our article, but most people don't come back to post about their success or lack their of. As to the visa: are you flying? If you are only driving it...

Flagpoling to activate a new work permit even with my expired work visa

So, my understanding is that, as long as you can travel to the US (i.e. you have a visa or a visa waiver), then you can flagpole. The visa itself is just for travel, to the best of my knowledge, so you only need to renew it if you are planning on traveling. (Again, just my understanding.)

Hi, Your sister never could sponsor you, to the best of my knowledge. She must have misread something. Sorry for the bad news.

SIN and/or Open Work Permit for spouse

I don't believe anyone can get a SIN as a visitor. Yes, your wife can apply for an open work permit while entering Canada, she'll just have to prove you are working here on a valid work permit. Then she should be able to get a SIN.

    Police clearance: assistance needed

Hi, My best guess would be he should contact the office/precinct responsible for the original fine to see if it's the same office responsible for this supposed additional fine. Maybe it's an honest mistake and they can produce documentation showing he paid his fine.

Flagpoling to activate a new work permit even with my expired work visa

When you say "work visa" I suppose you mean your visitor visa? Or do you mean the actual work permit? I am just the webmaster, but it sounds to me like you can flagpole with those documents.
