Waiting time on Spousal Sponsorship during Covid 19

I've seen people estimating "double" but I don't know how accurate that is. It might even be optimistic. Paper applications in particular are way behind because many offices are working from home and files are physically located in the offices, requiring special limited access to get them.

We only received 247 points.. is this correct?

I don't believe you can appeal the points. You can delete your profiles and resubmit once you have the IELTS. But, honestly, I'm just the webmaster here and have never done this myself. So I don't know for sure.

    PR Status

I'm sorry to say that's a question for a consultant or a lawyer. My guess would be that there's likely no way an adult who has been outside the country for at least 9 years would get an H&C exemption but I don't actually know, it's just a guess.

    IMM0008 Residency question

The end date is the day you submit, if you're still living in the US. You do not need to add additional residence around your vacation. As long as you didn't move permanently, that's counted as travel, not residency. So March 8 2019 - present and XX-XX-2014 to XX-XX-2017

We only received 247 points.. is this correct?

You should indeed receive points for your Canadian work experience. If you're applying through Federal Skilled Trades, your certificates need to be in an acceptable trade, as not all trades are included.

It looks like months, but I'm just guessing from looking at forum posts: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/got-aip-stage-1-study-visa-pakistan-sds.697465/

    PR Status

Under normal circumstances, the answer to your question would be that your son has three options: Renounce his PR and apply to come as a student, Apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD) and likely have his PR revoked and then apply to come as a student, OR fly to the US as a...

    Lost Citizenship??

She says that she isn't getting acknowledgements of receipt from March, even. So that means IRCC is months behind schedule. She doesn't believe urgent requests are being processed right now. Sorry for the bad information.

If Sirius can officially transfer him he can apply for a work permit which should solve his entry problems. (In normal times, anyway.)

    Eligibility for Express Entry

So what might be happening is that you are eligible for EE but not eligible for one of its programs, usually Federal Skilled Worker for people who are not in Canada. You can see how it works here: https://www.immigroup.com/federal-skilled-worker

PR Card Expired but want to meet my Children In Canada

You have to apply for your PRTD in order to come back. Normally the application would likely be rejected and your status would be revoked. However, because of the pandemic, I'm not 100% sure if this will happen because your card expired during the pandemic. (Had it expired before, I would think...

Currently living in the U.S.A. with my wife, we want to move to Canada - What are our options?

If you aren't moving to Quebec or New Brunswick (or the French part of Ontario) there is no need to learn French unless you want to, or you want to work for the Federal Government in the future. And depending upon the province, there is a residence and/or previous work requirement to be...

In normal times, yes, you could just turn up and he could enter as a visitor and you could sponsor him later. There is something called "dual intent" which is a visitor intending comply with visitor regulations provided he is not successfully sponsored. However, getting sponsored is not a...
